Calculate Your Team's Scramble Handicap

A scramble is a popular golf tournament format where team members all hit a tee shot, select the best one, and all play their next shot from that spot. This calculator helps determine your team's handicap using a common weighted formula that gives more weight to the better players.

How to Use the Calculator:

Enter the course handicap for each player on your team. It's important to list the players in order from best to worst (lowest handicap to highest handicap), as the formula is weighted:

  • Player A: Lowest handicap (the "A" player)
  • Player B: Second-lowest handicap
  • Player C: Third-lowest handicap
  • Player D: Highest handicap

The calculator applies a percentage to each player's handicap (e.g., 25% of Player A's, 20% of Player B's, etc.) and adds them together to get the final team handicap. This number is then subtracted from the team's gross score to determine their net score for the tournament.
