How to Use the AP Art History Score Calculator

The AP Art History exam evaluates your knowledge of art from various historical and cultural contexts. Our calculator simplifies the process of estimating your score by breaking it down into its core components: the multiple-choice and free-response questions (FRQs).

Scoring Breakdown:

  • Multiple-Choice Section: This section consists of 80 questions and accounts for 50% of your total exam score.
  • Free-Response Section: This section includes two long-essay questions and four short-essay questions, making up the remaining 50% of your score.
  • To use the calculator, simply enter the number of multiple-choice questions you answered correctly and your estimated scores for each of the six free-response questions. The tool will then compute a composite score and convert it to the final 1-5 AP scale, giving you a clear indication of your performance.
