How to Estimate Your AP Statistics Score

The AP Statistics exam is divided into two sections, each accounting for 50% of your final score. Our calculator uses this weighting to provide an accurate estimate of your performance.

Exam Structure:

  • Section I: Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ): This section includes 40 questions and is worth 50% of the total score.
  • Section II: Free-Response Questions (FRQ): This section consists of six questions, also worth 50% of the total score. The first five questions are shorter, and the final question is a more comprehensive investigative task.
  • To use the calculator, enter the number of multiple-choice questions you answered correctly and your scores (out of 4) for each of the six free-response questions. The tool will calculate a composite score and convert it to the AP 1-5 scale, giving you a clear projection of your exam result.
