When Will I Go Into Labor? A Statistical Look
While every pregnancy is unique, statistical data can give us a fascinating look at when a baby is most likely to arrive. This calculator uses data from studies on birth timing to show you the probability of giving birth on each day surrounding your estimated due date.
How to Use the Calculator
Simply select your estimated due date from the calendar. The chart will automatically update to show a 35-day window centered around your due date, from three weeks before to two weeks after. Each bar represents the statistical likelihood of giving birth on that specific day.
Understanding the Results
You might be surprised to learn that only about 4-5% of babies are born on their exact due date. The probability gradually increases in the two weeks leading up to the due date, peaks around the due date, and then slowly declines. This tool helps visualize that curve, giving you a better sense of when to expect your new arrival.
