How is TET Merit Calculated?

The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) merit score is often a combination of your TET exam score and your academic performance. The weightage for each component can vary by state and year. This calculator provides an estimate based on a common formula.

General Merit Calculation:

  • TET Score Weightage: A certain percentage of your TET exam marks (e.g., 60%) is taken.
  • Academic Weightage: The remaining percentage (e.g., 40%) is derived from your marks in 10th grade, 12th grade, and your teaching degree/diploma.
  • To use the calculator, enter your TET score (out of 150) and your total calculated academic weightage. The tool will then combine these to produce a final estimated merit score, helping you understand your chances of selection.
